Kintrishi National Park functional zones map, developed as a result of various meetings with Kintrishi National Park administration, was updated based on meetings and consultations with nearby population Kintrishi Protected Areas, held in November, 2018. Together with local population, the meetings were attended by local and international consultants, representatives of the Agency of Protected Areas and GFA Consulting Group. As a result of the meetings, 3 functional zones were defined on the territory of Kintrishi National Park (strict protection, traditional use and visitor zones), which subsequently were agreed with the Regional Advisory Committee and the Agency of Protected Areas.
Areas of functional zones of Kintrishi National Park are presented below:
a) Strict Protection Zone – 7,046.84 ha;
b) Visitor Zone – 928.47 ha;
c) Traditional Use Zone – 2,430.78 ha;
