Main objectives of the grant were: Review internationally applied software packages for water planning and management focused on water allocation; Make an assessment of the software packages and identify the most suitable one (WEAP) considering national needs and priorities; Strengthen capacity of the GOG water agencies, other governmental agencies and CSOs in water resource planning and management through coaching them in selected software package for water management.
Results of the grant: Most suitable WRM (water allocation) software package (WEAP) identified for Georgia and agreed with the GOG water agencies.
